MISHKAN = GOD'S ROLE.
MIQDASH = OUR INDIVIDUAL ROLE.
The MISHKAN or TABERNACLE is called both a MISHKAN and a MIQDASH. Hakham Shimshon Raphael Hirsch reveals that Mishkan refers to God's role. And Miqdash refers to our individual role. That is, we must allow God The Father and His Christ to build us (1Corinthians 3:16-17, 6:19-20).
WHAT AND WHY IS THE TEMPLE OF GOD?
The main purpose of the Temple is for the Creator God to have a dwelling place here on Earth. In other words, God wants a "HOME" on Earth where CHRIST can directly and personally interact with His BRIDE; and God The FATHER with His Children (Exodus 25:8).
- Let them make Me a Sanctuary, that I may dwell among them. (Exo 25:8 HNV)
The Temple is
the place wherein God can have a very close and intimate relationship
with us. In the 2nd Temple, God provided the means to maintain that
close relationship, just in case we stray away from Him. So God
instituted the practice of animal sacrifices. The word for sacrifices is korban, which literally means 'coming close'. When we sin, we are required to offer sacrifices to atone for our sins, or to be close to God again.
EVERY PERSON IS THE ORIGINAL AND TRUE TEMPLE OF GOD!
With the destruction of the 2nd Temple, God refocuses His desire to dwell in the original place He wanted to dwell from the very beginning, that is, within us. Now, our bodies have become the Temple of God (1Corinthians 3:16-17).
- Do you not know that you are a Temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? (1Cor 3:16 MKJV)
- If anyone defiles the Temple of God, God shall destroy him. For the Temple of God is holy, which you are. (1Cor 3:17 MKJV)

The main reason why Christ cannot yet return is because the "CRITICAL MASS" of God's People to compose the 3rd Temple is not yet completed. And this does not mean a Physical Building in Jerusalem. Once this significant "CRITICAL MASS" of God's Elect is completed (as determined by God the Father), then Christ will return to stop the deadly Human Foolishness and Ignorance of this world (Matthew 24:22).
STUDYING GOD'S MESSIANIC KABBALAH WISDOM IS EQUIVALENT TO BUILDING THE 3RD TEMPLE
With the destruction of the 2nd Temple, God refocuses His desire to dwell in the original place He wanted to dwell from the very beginning; that is, WITHIN EACH ONE OF US. Now, all Human Bodies have become the Temple of God; as they were purchased by the precious BLOOD of Christ (1Corinthians 3:16-17, 6:19-20).
The Glorious 3rd Temple that must be built for Christ to return is actually the BRIDE OF CHRIST, which is composed of transformed Messianic Jews and Christians (Ephesians 2:19-22). This NEW JERUSALEM, which is the Faithful BRIDE OF CHRIST is built by God's MESSIANIC KABBALAH WISDOM that came down from Heaven (Revelation 21:2).
Thus, the building of the Church to become the Spiritual 3rd Temple is based on the supernal Plan, Design, and Construction of the MISHKAN or TABERNACLE. This Truth is according to what the Zohar and the Bible teach, that: STUDYING MESSIANIC KABBALAH WISDOM IS TANTAMOUNT TO BUILDING THE 3RD TEMPLE (Matthew 16:18, Exodus 26:1, 5, Proverbs 9:1, Revelation 19:8, Midrash Tanchuma Tzav 14)!

In the words of the Midrash: Ezekiel said to the Holy One blessed-be-He: 'Master of the World: We are now in exile, and You tell me to go and inform the Jewish People about the plan of the Temple? "Write it before their eyes, and they will guard all its forms and all its laws and do them." How can they "do them"? Leave them until they go out of exile, and then I will go and tell them.'
The Holy One blessed-be-He said to Ezekiel: "Just because My children are in exile, does that mean the building of My House should be halted? Studying the Plan of the Temple in the Torah is as great as actually building it. Go and tell them to make it their business to study the form of the Temple as explained in the Torah. As their reward for this study, I will give them credit AS IF THEY ARE ACTUALLY BUILDING THE TEMPLE" (Midrash Tanchuma, Tzav 14).
WHY THE TWO TEMPLES WERE DESTROYED
To fully understand how to participate in the building of the 3rd Temple, we must first learn the lessons why the 1st and 2nd Temples were destroyed. And these lessons we must avoid.
We know that the 1st Temple was destroyed because of the sin of King Solomon => Worshipping other gods! For the 2nd Temple the Talmud asked: "Why was the Second Temple destroyed? Because of SINAT CHINAM, the SENSELESS HATRED of one Jew for another."
