God formed Man out of the DUST OF THE GROUND, and breathed into his nostrils the BREATH (Heb. NESHAMA) OF LIFE, making Him a living Soul (Gen 2:7). With this Neshama of Life, Man (Adam) qualifies for the one and only supernal TRUE RELIGION of Life inside the Garden of Eden.
But when Adam disobeyed God and committed the First Sin, Mankind lost the NESHAMA (Breath) OF LIFE. Without this Neshama of Life, Man fell to the level of the dust of the ground, which means he became earthly and mortal (Genesis 3:19).
